Pastor’s Page

I’m very much a mix of a bunch of different experiences and interests, having a background in computing science and business before attending Seminary and becoming a pastor in my forties. I enjoy reading, hiking, life coaching and spending time with friends and family. Karen and I are blessed with seven grandchildren.
I came to faith in Christ when I was twelve but it did not begin to flourish until a personal crisis challenged me at the end of my teen years. As the decades rolled by I have grown in my appreciation for how much God loves me and provides as I rely on Him. I have a strong desire to help others grow likewise. I also love to pass on what I am learning about God’s Word, especially that our “best selves” develop from within. To use the apostle Peter’s words: ‘Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight (1 Peter 3:3-4 NIV).’
